Hello, I'm Marco Visin.
Tech Lead & Entrepreneur
I am passionate of Technology and Entrepreneurship, co-founder of the AI startup Orango Labs and currently serving as Head of Engineering at AirConsole, the world's first gaming platform specifically designed for cars, revolutionizing in-car entertainment.
Freshly graduated as an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at SDA Bocconi, ranking 3rd in the MBA rankings of the Financial Times.

Who am I?
Let me start this Bio with the key point: I am nerd. Seriously. I can easily get lost for hours in learning why Boeing 737 aircraft is not equipped with landing-gear doors. And yes, I am definitely the kind of person who gets excited in building random tech toys, without losing heart when the car trunk accidentally catches fire in the process (but that's another story).
I was born in Milano in 1987 and I joined the IT Dark Side after graduating in Telecommunication Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
I am polyglot in both spoken and programming languages. I am fluent in Italian and English, but I also understand German. I count C#, Java, Python and Bash amongst the programming languages I have professionally worked with.
As a manager, I am always looking for combining technical excellence with an attractive and functional product, to maximise the customer satisfaction.
I have always had a passion for entrepreneurship and startups, and in recent months I have had the opportunity to try my hand at these fascinating realities.

Projects

Pendli
Live public-transport departure countdowns for the stops you commute from — on iOS (Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island) and Android (Live Update notification).
- Live countdowns with real delays: a self-ticking countdown to each departure, updated by push every ~30 seconds.
- Starts on its own: geofencing detects when you’re near your stop during your active hours — on-device, location never leaves the phone.
- Works everywhere: official Swiss timetable data, worldwide coverage via Transitous. EN / IT / DE / FR.

Squelch
A lightweight macOS menu-bar app that mutes the system microphone instantly — via global hotkey, menu click, or AirPods Pro / Max stem-press.
- AirPods stem-press to mute: works in any call, in any app — Zoom, Meet, Teams, FaceTime.
- Zero audio capture: Squelch never opens a microphone session, so AirPods stay in high-quality AAC mode instead of dropping to the lossy HFP profile.
- Menu-bar native: clear muted/unmuted icon, optional Funk/Glass cues, launch-at-login.
TI Naturalizzo
TI Naturalizzo helps applicants prepare for the Canton Ticino naturalisation civics exam.
AI-generated practice quizzes cover the four exam subjects (civics, history, geography, socioeconomics), with instant explanations on every question and an exam simulator that mirrors the real 44-question format.

Aiones
Aiones helped companies optimise their internal processes, starting with onboarding.
The platform ran AI-led interviews with the key people in the organisation to capture how work actually happened — turning tribal knowledge into a documented process.
It then analysed that picture and actively suggested concrete changes to make the process faster, clearer, and easier to onboard new joiners into.
The product is no longer operating.
SpeedOmeter
A simple demonstration Progressive Web App (PWA) which is just providing a GPS-based speedometer. It can be installed via browser on any device. Fully written in React.

ID Modular
ID Modular was a low-code platform for the digital identity world.
The goal: make Know Your Business / Customer (KYB / KYC) flows fast and affordable to build for the startups that need them — and just as fast to change later, in a few clicks rather than a project.
The product is no longer operating.
LemonBulls
LemonBulls was a marketplace for algorithmic trading strategies — a place for traders to publish what they had built and earn from it, and for followers to subscribe to strategies that matched their risk and goals.
The platform handled the parts that make that hard in practice: protecting strategy IP, running subscription billing, and linking strategies to broker accounts.
The product is no longer operating.

Naviigo
Naviigo was the sharing economy applied to short-term boat rental — a marketplace for owners to rent out their boats by the hour or day, and for travellers to find one near a lake or coast they were visiting.
Native iOS and Android apps for both sides of the marketplace, with in-app availability, booking, and payments.
The product is no longer operating.
Godoo
No-Code business workflow orchestration engine. Made from scratch. The right way.
The platform targets B2B customers, allowing them to easily define their business flows using simple drag-and-drop with a standard BPMN language.
Technically speaking, the solution included the design of multiple Java-based backends, resulting in a set of docker microservices, which could be run on any Kubernetes cluster. As a second step, the entire infrastructure has been made cloud ready and moved to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
A Web 2.0 client, together with a dedicated Android/iOS mobile app were developed allowing seamless access on any device.
